D'Iberville Elementary is an A-rated school on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and our tradition of academic excellence has continued to flourish in a rapidly growing community. We are a Title I school, serving over 700 students in grades K-3. Our faculty and staff believe every child is unique and deserves a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment where they will receive the best education possible.
We are committed to providing high-quality instruction to help support each student's academic, physical, and emotional needs. Our teachers review achievement data regularly to identify where students stand academically, then, design curriculum and activities to guide the students along the path to growth and success. Our team has implemented strategies that foster learning, including individualized instruction, vertical planning, early intervention, parental engagement, and community partnerships.
In 2009, our school was awarded the National Blue Ribbon for academic achievement. The prestigious distinction shows our dedication to raising the bar on academic standards. Over the past decade, our school has experienced tremendous changes in demographics. With increases in student enrollment, economically disadvantaged population, and English language learners, our teachers quickly adapted by creatively designing lessons to reach each student.
At D'Iberville Elementary, we strive to give our students a strong educational foundation and inspire them to believe in their ability to succeed. Through high expectations and career and college readiness-based instruction, we are carrying on the Harrison County School District's mission of preparing students to become productive citizens, empowered leaders, and lifelong learners.
