Hyatt is a part of a close-knit community and is most notably recognized by our Hyatt Hero emblem and an "everything matters" attitude. Hyatt's success is attributed to our exceptional staff, students, and families. We are entering our fifth year as an elementary school. After realignment, staff from three buildings came together to create a new school. Our challenge was to find our strengths together and reassure our community that the new "Hyatt" will go above and beyond for our students.
Students are at the heart of our mission. Teachers embed purpose and engagement into every lesson, maximizing learning time. By implementing scaffolded approaches, teachers reach all learners in their classrooms. Our teams employ assessment driven instruction and ensure academic success for all students. Combined, our Student Assistance Team and proactive intervention program have created a multi-tiered targeted system that has produced remarkable growth for our 'at-risk' students.
As advocates for our students, staff, and community have partnered together to identify resources that provide our students with a whole child approach to learning. Innovative technologies, developmental sensory walk, and pet therapy programs are just some of the examples of the outcome of our partnerships.
Hyatt promotes a positive school climate through character strengths and with our SOAR (Stay Safe, Offer Kindness, Act Responsibly, Remember Respect) expectations. Hyatt's school culture encourages risk-taking for staff and students. Our parent organization "PALS" has been the cornerstone of our community connection.
Our "everything matters" approach has set us apart as an exemplary, high performing school.
