In the spirit of "Growing Together," Musson Elementary strives to connect our students to the academic, local and global communities to which they belong. We ensure all Mustangs have the opportunity to develop a love of learning in a positive environment that is focused on citizenship, collaboration and results.
With a diverse student body, the Musson staff have challenged themselves to explore inclusion and belonging work that creates a strong culture and climate and ensures a well-rounded place of learning. The goal and passion of the staff is to better themselves for their students.
Understanding that not all students follow the same learning journey, Musson creates classrooms that foster passion and persistence, allowing students to dream, then challenging them to try new experiences and take action. To help create the leaders of tomorrow, Musson is utilizing the work of Michael Fullan and New Pedagogies of Deep Learning. With a focus on character, critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration and citizenship, Musson students learn the leadership skills to thrive in a diverse, interdependent and changing world.
Musson has a long history of exemplary education. Our work - in everything we do - is focused on the whole child. With an emphasis on the learning journey, we support the development of critical thinkers and problem solvers. We believe that literacy is a moral imperative. Students are afforded consistent, daily instruction to cultivate lifelong reading habits.
