Riverview Elementary is a "Rockin" K-4 School-wide Title 1 building located in the heart of Big Rapids Michigan. We pride ourselves on building positive relationships with students, parents, and the community. Riverview believes in developing the whole child and providing the best educational experiences for all students. In order to best serve our students, we focus on building relationships with students, finding their strengths, and collectively setting goals.

A significant milestone to Riverview's success is the positive environment promoted throughout the school and displayed within the community. We foster excitement within our students about learning and provide an engaging learning environment with 21st Century experiences.

To be an effective school, Riverview invests in quality teaching, using best practices, offering a solid curriculum, efficiently using learning time, engaging active learners, setting high expectations for students, providing quality RTI programs, and offering meaningful assessments. Data drives instructional decisions and assists in individualized goal setting with students to enhance academic performance.

Riverview is recognized for closing the gap in ELA and Math by analyzing student data, setting an individualized learning plan with target goals for each student, and working side by side with the student and parents towards accomplishing those goals.

The school allows students to extend their learning beyond the walls of Riverview by offering regular field trips, being involved in a variety of community projects, and participating in the only PTO fundraiser (which raises over $30,000 each year). As a result, 100% of these funds are put toward framing the student as a "whole child," providing the best opportunities and enhancing the interior/exterior learning environment to make it THE best place to be.
