Cedarville Elementary is a community friendly school located north of Fort Wayne, Indiana. We have a tradition of academic excellence made possible through a unified commitment by students, families, educators, and the community toward shared responsibilities in the learning process. Outcomes of these efforts are the recognition of Cedarville Elementary School in 2014 as a National Blue Ribbon Exemplary High Performing School. For the 2018-2019 school year Cedarville was the only elementary school in northeast Indiana rated "exceeds expectations" through the Federal School Accountability system. Cedarville has been acknowledged by the Indiana Department of Education as a 4-Star School for the past fourteen years and an A-rated school every year the honor has been assigned by the Indiana Department of Education.

With a population of over 800 kindergarten through grade 3 students, instruction is provided by a highly-qualified staff. Teachers are engaged in job-embedded, data-driven, standards-based professional development to increase student learning. Students are immersed in technology through networked computers, one-to-one iPads, and Smart Technology. They experience hands-on learning in the STEAM room. Here students use technology to integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and math skills. Our instructional program incorporates Daily Five reading, 6 + 1 Writing Traits, and Daily Math Review into the daily curriculum at all grade levels. All literacy lessons support learning the five critical aspects of reading.

Strong relations are fostered at Cedarville. Parents and community involvement provide extended opportunities for students to learn and develop socially as well as academically. A dynamic PTO organizes and sponsors fund-raising activities and volunteer opportunities. Collaboration with community partners provides learning through after-school investigative science and robotics programs, a latchkey program, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Educational Series, dance and baton lessons, and Project-Based Learning pursuits.

Cedarville Elementary has remained one of the very best schools in northeast Indiana because of the imagination, planning, dedication, and coordinated efforts of Cedarville's parents, patrons, and staff members. Our kinship and sense of family extend well beyond the walls of our building.
