Indian Trail Elementary School in Highland Park, Illinois is the home to over 400 students. We believe in our mission and start by building strong relationships with our students and families. It is the foundation to ensuring our students feel supported, loved and valued. We know our partnership with families is critical to the success of each child. We provide opportunities for families to volunteer in our school to support our students through service and enrichment club opportunities. The variety of clubs offered to all students is one way we achieve our mission of fostering innovation.

In addition to building strong home school partnerships, we take great care in addressing the social emotional needs of each child so they are ready to learn. This is accomplished by starting with their basic needs: school breakfast, lunch, and snack. We partner staff members with students who benefit from a morning check in with a trusted adult. We believe in a growth mindset and seek out opportunities for adults to model this philosophy and encourage students to do the same. Our teachers and staff work in collaboration to plan and problem solve around student learning needs while celebrating their successes. Our school implements a rigorous and challenging curriculum that ensures the success of each of our students.

We recognize that we all share the responsibility to ensure our students become the best version of who they are.
