Somerset Academy Miramar South Elementary, Home of the Sharks, a K-5 elementary school in Miramar, Florida. Our school has been an A rated school every year since its opening. At Somerset Miramar, we strongly believe that children are all unique and learn in different ways. Differentiated instruction is the foundation to instruction at our school. Our curriculum includes a proactive approach to teaching that meets children's needs and maximizes their growth as learners.

We pride ourselves in being unique and innovative in many areas, however the one true foundational practice that reaches out to every aspect of our success is essential and effective communication. Communication is a necessary skill for any relationship, but at Somerset Academy Miramar, there are high expectations for the level of communication that is at the core of our culture. It has been communication that has made the transition from brick and mortar to remote-live instruction seamless for our teachers and students during this global pandemic. A culture of understanding where all stakeholders are aware that through open, concise, and purposeful communication, we are all able to address concerns, offer suggestions, clarify misunderstandings, celebrate successes, and strengthen our relationships. This unique level of support and accessibility is key to effective communication and has become a trademark of our culture; it is what sets Somerset Academy Miramar South apart as a successful school.
