LaVerne Elementary Preparatory Academy follows a classical model of education rich in diversity that features a highly traditional, values-centered curriculum stressing basic skills and critical analysis. We are committed to educating scholars in the acquisition of knowledge and the wisdom necessary to apply it correctly. Scholars are equipped early on with skills and the desire to continue as lifelong learners. Our rigorous academic program closes the achievement gap, prepares scholars for college from the start of kindergarten, and gives them life experiences beyond their current environment. Scholars are taught that they can learn and be successful, leading to scholars owning this belief and continuing on the path to success. Scholars achieve academically and socially; and through their accomplishments see themselves as important contributors to their community.
LaVerne Elementary Preparatory Academy embraces a culture of high expectations which emphasizes character development and strong values. Teachers are empowered to use their professional training to passionately engage scholars in learning and provide a well-rounded education. Our program leaders are both passionate and effective and model this behavior daily while interacting with scholars, staff, and the community. Staff members work collaboratively and know the scholars and families they serve. We set high standards of accountability including consistent monitoring and evaluation of our program to maximize learning and performance by scholars. Parents are invited to be part of the success through volunteering on campus regularly. Scholars benefit from our structured educational program that involves a strong relationship between the school staff and families.
