Green Valley Elementary School is a vibrant community school situated at the picturesque base of Mount Diablo in Danville, California. Our Transitional Kindergarten-5th grade school is dedicated to the development of the whole child. Staff and community members alike celebrate the importance of relationship building as a key component in the development of academic rigor. We incorporate approaches such as Project Based Learning to ensure relevance throughout the learning process. The highly collaborative partnership between staff, our families, and our community deeply integrates the continuous improvement model through all aspects of our educational programming.
One of the most valuable practices we have implemented across our school district is the recognition that individual schools know their community needs best. At Green Valley this means we have the "freedom" to pursue our growth as a Project Based Magnet school as well as our strengths-based initiative. We believe in building upon and fully developing student strengths to empower growth because at Green Valley our students are Strong not Wrong!
