Lookout Mountain is a great place to learn and achieve. In this season of COVID-19, it is apparent that change and adversity is upon us. Dealing with adversity, to quote the writer Paulo Coelho, "When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test out courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing happened or in saying we are not ready yet, the challenge will not wait. Life does not look back."

Over the years at Lookout Mountain, our gains in achievement are attributed to acting upon the valuable insights learned from overcoming challenging situations. We have worked together over the years to maintain and foster the courage to change. Most recently, the 2020 school year has brought the challenge of moving to an online platform for distance learning. This has been a great learning opportunity for staff, students and parents. Our staff has had the challenge of dealing with the pandemic, as well as state and national tension, all while resetting the brain to manage technology instead of physically going face to face into the classroom.

By working together, we continue to recognize valuable insights, we refuse to give up, we seek to find purpose, and we believe in ourselves and those around us. Finding a way to grow and achieve through some of the hardest times makes us brave and successful. Lookout Mountain has a sense of pride. We like to call it Lion Pride!
