A Recipe for Blends at Crawford Elementary

A Recipe for Blends at Crawford Elementary

Crawford Elementary teachers and staff are committed to a whole-child approach to education. A strong focus on academics as well as social and emotional learning has helped students make significant academic gains. This is due in large part to the Crawford faculty and families being committed to educating, equipping, and empowering students, everyday, no matter what it takes.

Crawford students are resilient in the face of adversity. They have proven time and time again they will rise to the occasion, challenging the notion that poverty is a barrier to learning. Students come to school eager to learn and grow each day. Their perseverance is a true testament to the positive culture and climate evident at Crawford.

Faculty and staff collaborate regularly to meet students' needs and help them succeed in all facets of life. On-going, job embedded professional development provides teachers opportunities for continuous professional growth, ensuring they have the tools needed to support each learner's diverse needs. Teachers are dedicated to improving their craft and this is displayed in their innovative approach to instruction and regular collaboration with colleagues.

The faculty has taken great pride in making connections with families, community partners, and other stakeholders that support student and staff needs as well as their long-term goals. Through these partnerships students are given opportunities to serve and volunteer, instilling a sense of shared community, and a desire to make a positive impact in the world around them.
