Eagle Academy Charter School is a school of choice in the largest school district in the state of Alaska. Situated 15 miles north of Anchorage. Eagle Academy draws students from a diverse population made up of lifelong Alaska residents and active duty/retired military from a nearby joint Army-Airforce military base. When asked to describe our school in one word, the word you will hear most frequently is "Excellence."

Our administration, specially trained teachers, and support staff are fully committed to our mission and passionate about implementing with fidelity our evidence-based Spalding and Saxon instructional curriculum as well as using data in decision making and lesson planning. Eagle Academy's daily class schedule has been specifically designed to allow students to level up or down in English/Language Arts and Math. This allows students to receive instruction in their zone of proximal development rather than by age or grade level.

Eagle Academy's standards-based reporting system provides students and parents with a more accurate picture of what students know and their current level of mastery as opposed to a traditional grading system that typically indicates what assignments have or have not been completed. Results and feedback from weekly diagnostics provide frequent opportunities for students to see and evaluate progress toward individual goals. This, combined with our school community's expectations of rigor and the commitment of parents to work with their student(s) outside of the school day, has resulted in Eagle Academy consistently being the highest-ranking elementary school in the State of Alaska.
