Marcy Elementary School is honored to be nominated as a National Blue Ribbon School for high achievement. Marcy Elementary is a tight-knit community of highly motivated and dedicated individuals. The entire school community is committed to individual student growth that seeks to nurture a love of learning in each child. Teachers, administrators, staff, parents and the learning community want to make a difference in the lives of all our students. Each day we welcome our students, striving first to understand the child and then helping them to embrace the world of learning.

School culture, above all, is the critical factor in what makes Marcy great! Teachers are not hired to work at Marcy - they are chosen to be educators at our school because nurturing students is a passion and a calling. Marcy staff members are invested in their own development so that they can provide the best environment possible for our learners. Whether a paraprofessional, custodian, or teacher, we are a cohesive team. We share in the most mundane duties and embrace the most complicated challenges. The relationships we build with our students, community, and staff are what cements us in continually reaching higher levels of achievement. We don't settle for anything less than the best for our students and families. Because students see us collectively striving for excellence, they in turn want to do their best. Collective teacher efficacy is the primary factor in making an educational difference in the lives of our students!
