Our Midlo Community of Excellence exemplified!

Midlothian High, an IB World School, embodies our brand, a Community of Excellence. While we are home to some of the top SAT, SOL, AP, and IB results in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the real magic happens beyond assessments.

With a focus on developing the whole child, Midlothian High School embraces a culture of altruism and growth. Nearly every student actively participates in one of our 80+ athletic teams, academic teams, co-curricular organizations, or extra-curricular clubs, each of which organizes at least one philanthropic event per school year, engaging the entire school body to support the cause. Our students can be observed providing academic, social, and emotional support to one another, as well as students of diverse ages and backgrounds throughout Chesterfield County, with one of our fastest growing organizations of 100+ Midlothian students providing mentorship to our Chesterfield elementary schools on a weekly basis.

Through targeted programming designed to support students with Adverse Childhood Experiences and disabilities, each student receives the personalized experience needed to find success. Through purposeful professional development and support, Midlothian High School developed a faculty and student growth mindset. In combination with targeted efforts to increase college and career readiness, the number of advanced programming courses completed at Midlothian High School increased by 115% while the percentage of students who are economically disadvantaged simultaneously increased by 270%.
