Pirateers Leading An Exemplary Community!

"One Vision - One TEAM!" is evident across the hallways of the transformational journey of ONE school and ONE community along the South Texas border. Hidalgo Park Elementary serves a diverse population of students who are encouraged and motivated to reach their full potential in preparation for college and beyond. The school is a home away from home where everyone is family and where building relationships is an integral part of the school culture. Its targeted initiatives in the academic areas focus on rigorous instructional practices that teach 21st century skills. We give every child an opportunity to acquire mastery on all state standards. The staff work diligently to provide an exemplary education for "every child every day." We collaborate with parents and the community to create a multi-faceted, cohesive environment. Everyone works toward achieving the "one vision, one team" culture. The mission and vision of the school emphasizes the concept of transformation, transparency, trust, and teamwork. Everyone works to achieve a common goal, participate in collective decision making, nurture relationship building and foment openness among all stakeholders. Every student is provided with a challenging and dynamic educational program that advances their intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth in a positive and nurturing environment. Hidalgo Park has many attributes which have contributed to the overall success of its students, including how leaders, staff, parents, and the community come together to transform the school into an academic space where teachers want to teach and students want to learn.
