Hawkins Elementary School

Hawkins Elementary School is a public school with 392 prekindergarten through sixth-grade students. With student learning as our focus, our staff embodies teamwork and collaboration. Hawkins Elementary School is a family, first and foremost.

Hawkins Elementary School's vision is to be a model of a learner-centered school. As a rural elementary school, we believe it takes our staff, students, parents, and community working together to provide the best education possible for our students. We are a very close school community that is determined to meet the academic and social needs of all students. The climate and culture of the campus is one where high expectations have been set for our students and staff. Hawkins Elementary School is dedicated to working together to ensure that all students are successful and leave on or above their grade levels at the end of the year. All staff members are committed to doing whatever it takes to meet the goals of the campus.

Every decision made is based on what is best for our students. Building strong academic skills in our students is a contributing factor to our success, from our personalized learning to our small group instruction. Also vital to student success is our Professional Learning Communities, vertical teams, grade-level planning, common formative assessments, interventions, data analysis, and continuous monitoring have been the pillars for our students' academic growth. Central to all of our success is our W.I.N. Time, also known as, What I Need. This WIN time allows all students to be challenged on their level to ensure everyone has their needs met. All students at Hawkins Elementary School feel confident because everyone gets a WIN!
