Ashaway Elementary School is a public K-4 school situated in a small, rural village in Ashaway, Rhode Island. As you walk through the halls of Ashway Elementary, you will quickly see classrooms filled with energy and enthusiasm for learning. Our school has a specialty designation focusing on robotics and engineering with a 2:1 technology initiative. The initiative includes personalized learning and enhancement of the curriculum. Students are given opportunities to collaborate with their peers using iPads and Chromebooks. Students engage in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) related learning tasks and computer coding. Robots, appropriate for each grade level, are used to enhance students' learning in these important areas. Teachers are data-driven, work collaboratively, and implement best practices to provide a stellar learning experience. Students are encouraged to think critically, apply their knowledge, and reason abstract concepts across all the content areas. As we strive to hold the highest expectations for academics and behavior, we continue to achieve our goals.
