The Dayton Regional STEM School's motto is "the real world starts here." For over a decade, we have dedicated ourselves to preparing students to be the skilled, vibrant, and innovative minds that the Dayton community and workforce needs. DRSS is an independent, public STEM school that serves students in grades 6-12 from 7 counties and 35 districts throughout the community. Through our unique, student-centered education model, we focus on project-based learning, career exploration, STEM principles, and professional competencies. As a public school of choice, we are proud to offer a different way of learning to any student, no matter their location, background, or test scores.
Graduates of the Dayton Regional STEM School set themselves apart from their peers. They possess the technical skills to be successful in today's high-demand careers and the soft skills to be a leader in their chosen field, STEM or beyond. Students leave high school with impressive resumes that include coding experience, internships, in-demand certifications, and so much more. The Class of 2019 boasts a 100% graduation rate, with 70% of graduates pursuing a STEM major in college.
DRSS has been recognized as a leader of education in the region, including Top Public High School by the Dayton Business Journal and Best Schools in the Dayton Area by Niche. From the start, the community has played a vital role in the success of the school. Our goal is to pay it forward by preparing and inspiring Dayton's next generation of innovators and leaders.
