NBRS Badge for Beachwood Middle School
Beachwood Middle School - Beachwood, OH

Beachwood Middle School Robotics Symposium
The diversity of the Beachwood Middle School community is matched by the diversity of its offerings. Beachwood Middle School offers a unique combination of flexible learning strategies with a rigorous core academic curriculum that highlights STEM methodologies and inquiry-based learning. Through these experiences, students at BMS learn not only to excel academically, but also to explore their own passions and individual identities.
A walk through the hallways of Beachwood Middle School provides an accurate glimpse of student life: small collaborative groups of students creating imaginative assessment products, communicating with students in other cities and countries as they expand their worldview, using technology to practice dual language skills, receiving support and encouragement from individual tutors, practicing their musical instruments, recording student news videos, and admiring displays of student-created artwork, gumball machines, and mousetrap cars. These are not individual examples; rather, they are shared experiences in which all students participate during their time at BMS.
Because of their exposure to a wide variety of learning opportunities, our students are well-equipped to pursue their personal areas of interest with a level of dedication that extends beyond the classroom. Many do so through enrichment programs such as Science Olympiad, Destination Imagination, Model U.N., Math Counts, state writing competitions, and other leadership opportunities. Their ambitions also extend beyond our daily P.E. classes to athletic endeavors for our school sports teams.
This combination of creativity and commitment makes Beachwood Middle School a joyful place to live and learn.
