Culture, character, and competency are key elements you will find intentionally and strategically being developed at Worthington Christian Middle School. We provide an environment which encourages staff and students to embrace and recognize challenges as opportunities for growth. A cultivated practice throughout our school is nurturing a growth mindset and taking risks through intellectual, creative, and physical pursuits. We promote a culture where relationships matter and developing the complete student is a primary focus. Our school incorporates guided principles of spiritual development and personal growth through our character education classes, daily devotions, weekly chapels, monthly small groups, an annual retreat, and other opportunities designed to build connections between all stakeholders. We offer an exemplary support structure through strategically scheduled team meetings. These meetings provide teachers with resources and time to analyze instructional practices, discuss student needs, and collaborate on interdisciplinary educational experiences. Our ongoing professional development framework equips our teachers to effectively teach for enduring understanding, plan with the end in mind, and implement project-based learning where knowledge is transferred. Accountability, acted upon with love and respect, is a priority as we seek to achieve for Christ's greater good. Our students navigate through middle school life consistently provided with daily disciplines - tools to equip them for the higher levels of learning and unforeseen future events. Ultimately, we desire to see our students develop the mind of Christ as they serve the community and become contributing members of society.
