The Communications High School (CHS) is a vocational career academy for secondary high school students that immerses students in honors and college level academics, while preparing them for college and a career in communications. The school provides a theme-based integrated curriculum in conjunction with our community and industry partnerships. Students interested in the field of communications acquire knowledge, skills, and ethics in a unique and challenging educational environment. The Communications High School works in conjunction with Seton Hall University, Monmouth University, Ramapo College, and Brookdale Community College to provide students the opportunity to earn college credits in various theme areas.
The Communications High School opened in 2000 as the fourth full-time career academy in our district. Since that time, 99% of our students have gone directly to college or a university, and the rest have gained employment directly from High School.
