Mendham Township Elementary School (MTES) provides all students with a comprehensive, high-quality educational experience in a nurturing environment. Character building and mindfulness practices help our students perform at their best. Active learning is at the heart of everything we do and promotes our students to think critically and learn in an interactive learning environment. We believe that all children deserve to learn and grow in line with their potential and can reach the highest outcomes, if we adopt a growth mindset and a willingness to commit to our mission. This is the consistent driving force that guides all of our educational decisions and the reason for our continued academic growth and high academic achievement.

MTES engages our students in environmental stewardship by learning about sustainable actions in our Outdoor Learning Center (OLC). Our school is aligned with the Sustainable Jersey for Schools program, receiving two Bronze Award Certifications. Our school community is committed to educating our students to conserve resources, promote positive change, and create a more clean and sustainable environment for everyone.

Our teachers are highly qualified and possess high levels of leadership. They focus on identifying areas of improvement through collaborative problem solving and the development of appropriate interventions for students. Teachers are skilled in the collection and use of data and are highly proficient at analyzing and interpreting formative and summative data to make sound instructional decisions. This accountability and ownership over student outcomes creates an environment of continuous high achievement and learning year after year.
