Fort Benton Elementary
Fort Benton elementary is located in Fort Benton, Montana in the heart of the "Golden Triangle" of wheat farming in beautiful North Central Montana. The town of Fort Benton is nestled on the breathtaking wild and scenic Missouri river.
Fort Benton Elementary provides a truly one of a kind learning environment for students through our customized learning experiences, a rigorous curriculum, unified and positive staff, and commitment to continuous growth and improvement. Fort Benton elementary focuses on welcoming returning and new students alike with an attitude that the school and staff will do whatever it takes to ensure that a child's academic, social, and emotional needs will be met.
Instruction at Fort Benton Elementary is based on the Response to Intervention (RtI) process. Each child is assessed using a standardized assessment and those results are discussed at common planning meetings to determine an intervention program and plan. After a six week cycle, more data is collected and reviewed on the individual student to ensure growth or an instructional change is made. We have found this RtI cycle successful in meeting the needs of each individual student and supporting teachers to make solution oriented decisions regarding instruction. The success of our students has strengthened the resolve of our teachers, enhanced student eagerness to learn, and fostered parent and community support.
Fort Benton elementary provides a familial environment centered on positivity and student growth for any student attending and is a community gathering place for the families of Fort Benton.
