For more than 100 years, Pineville Elementary has served a mostly rural community of predominately low-income families. Our school community is united in the effort to give our children a strong educational foundation and confidence in themselves because we know that when children believe in themselves, anything is possible.
We serve about 150 children, affording us the privilege of giving our students extremely individualized attention. We have a thorough understanding of our students and their families, and we develop curriculum and activities to help them achieve academic success and emotional growth. We encourage our students' curiosity and model an enthusiasm for learning. We enjoy an environment of respect among students, teachers, and the families we serve.

We support our core curriculum with computer-assisted instruction, instruction in the arts, and programs that nurture leadership and community service, allowing our students to explore their interests and discover their talents. Our efforts have earned recognition. Pineville has been named a Title 1 Distinguished School, has been a High-Performance School, and has been included in PREPS (Program of Research and Evaluation for Public Schools). For the past five years, we have earned an A rating from the Mississippi Department of Education. Our school is consistently ranked among the top 10 schools in the state and was ranked number 2 in 2017-2018.
We have set high standards, and we pride ourselves on maintaining those standards. We owe our success to the efforts and dedication of our entire school community - staff, administrators, faculty, students, and the families we serve.
