Becky-David Elementary (BDE) is one of ten elementary schools in the award-winning Francis Howell School District located in suburban St. Louis. In 2019 Becky-David was recognized as one of only eight Gold Star Schools in Missouri. BDE is a school community dedicated to helping each and every student reach their full potential by providing excellent instruction, a sense of family, and inclusion. Our school promotes student success through research-based instruction, positive behavioral interventions, and restorative practices. Each day our students and staff participate in a brain gym activity to ensure we are ready to start our day. Teachers also conduct restorative circles to promote community and trust with their students.

Another component to the success of Becky-David and our students is the continuous use of the Professional Learning Communities' model. The PLC process allows our staff to work together to plan quality instruction, identify interventions, and disaggregate student achievement data with continuous monitoring. We believe all students should have the opportunity to grow in all areas. Students have the opportunity to learn and experience art, music, physical education, and STEAM activities along with the core subjects of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. The staff at Becky-David works every day to fulfill the school district's mission of "Empowering students to be lifelong learners prepared for the future."
