Boulan Park Middle School - Troy, MI

Boulan Park Valentines Activity Day

Boulan Park Valentines Activity Day

At Boulan Park Middle School we believe in providing a world class educational experience for all our students. We are proud to say that our teachers work diligently to expose students to curriculum that extends beyond the classroom and connects to the world around them. As the data and test results will show, our focus on deep learning has led to exemplary educational outcomes; but what we believe truly makes Boulan Park Middle School world class are the initiatives that cannot be measured on a test, specifically our goal of connectedness.

Each year Boulan Park staff works to ensure that 100% of students identify themselves as feeling connected to the school community in a meaningful way. For some students feeling connected means participating in one of our many after school clubs or sports, and for other students that may mean identifying a trusted adult on our Caring Survey who they know they can turn to if they're in need of support. When our staff learns of students who are identifying as disconnected from school they strategically work to intervene through informal mentorships or initiatives like Boulan Outreach wherein our middle school students partner with preschool classrooms to engage and collaborate with our district's youngest learners. Activities like Boulan Outreach provide our students with opportunities to connect with the community around them in an authentic and meaningful way.

Although our journey to world class will always be a work in progress, we whole heartedly believe that Boulan Park Middle School is a learning community where students are able to learn, grow, and thrive.
