Joy in Learning! Teachers and children having fun together.

Harrington Elementary School has distinctive characteristics and an identity that is as unique and special as the children we serve. Each day is an adventure at Harrington!

Staff members greet students entering the building with big smiles, high fives and lots of dancing and singing, giving them the best possible start to their day. Students in our school speak 35 primary languages, creating a beautiful tapestry of children from all different backgrounds and abilities. Harrington School is a welcoming place to learn and grow. Our educators not only attend to matters of the heart, but also relentlessly pursue personalized academic and intellectual advancements for each child. We regularly revisit our model of inclusion and engage in thoughtful conversation about meeting individual student needs. In recent years, we shifted our practice to plan and schedule creatively, so our students remain in their classrooms to receive a tiered intervention. Our rich diversity and increasing enrollment continually challenge us to be reflective and collaborative in our work and to demonstrate our daily professional best.

We believe in the fundamental idea, "everyone can achieve". High standards are essential, and student achievement can present in many different ways. Our educators invest their time and energy into their personal growth and development, which, in turn fuels their desire to nurture the inquisitive, curious and excited minds of our young ones. Children who attend Harrington Elementary School are part of a community filled with love and learning, and they make our school a joyful place to learn and grow.
