Haynes Academy is an advanced studies magnet school that serves students in grades 6-12 in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. We take pride in educating the whole child by focusing on social and emotional learning in addition to academics. We offer a multi-faceted curriculum that includes opportunities in STEM, the arts, advanced placement, industry-based certifications, and dual enrollment. Our diverse cultural population participates in over fifty student led organizations and competes in every major sport.

We are proud of our accomplishments which include 61 National Merit Finalists since we began giving the PSAT in 2008; state and national champions in many activities including Academic Games, We the People, and Quiz Bowl; and a Gold Medal Ranking from US News and World Report Best High Schools each year since the school's inception. Perhaps the greatest honor we have received are the testimonials of countless students, staff, and parents who describe Haynes as more than just a school. They describe Haynes as their home away from home, their safe place, and the place that has helped them succeed in accomplishing their goals. It is our mission at Haynes Academy to help all children succeed by giving them the support they need to reach their fullest potential.
