East Valley Elementary School - West Liberty, KY

As scientists, students investigate and solve problems.

As scientists, students investigate and solve problems.

East Valley Elementary is a small, Title I school located on the outskirts of West Liberty, Kentucky. Many would call our school a "hidden gem" situated neatly in the mountains. Our students are greeted each morning by smiling staff members. We pride ourselves in knowing the needs of our families and the community. Our ultimate goal is to ensure our students receive a quality education while feeling safe, loved, and challenged to be the best they can be.

We attribute our academic success to high expectations and opportunities to succeed. Utilization of small, differentiated groups allow students to work on their level and receive needed attention to make personal growth. Students are taught to value their education and put first things first to succeed. Academic achievement is enhanced through experiences. Students enjoy educational field trips and work hard to compete at all levels in various competitions. Most recently, many students have competed in the state 4-H Speech Competitions, The Chinese Moon Festival, Scripps State Spelling Bee, and the Regional Science Fair. We value goal setting and progress toward meeting goals. Therefore, when students succeed, we celebrate their successes.

We are proud of our students and look forward to their continued success throughout their lives. Winston Churchill said, "Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. The courage to continue is what counts." We hope our students become lifelong learners who always have the courage to persevere through difficulties to continue celebrating their successes long after they are students in our school.
