Located in Prairie Village, Kansas, Corinth Elementary, home of the Dragons, is one of 34 elementary schools in the Shawnee Mission School District. Corinth strives to support all learners by building positive relationships, cultivating Professional Learning Communities, and encouraging project-based learning.

Fostering positive relationships among all shareholders is a strategy foundational to Corinth's success. Right from the start, the "Corinth Experience" is personal. In the weeks before school, kindergartners receive a home visit from the principal to welcome them into their new community. From there, the relationship building opportunities continue as students progress through school. Whether it's "Morning Milers" - a club that provides students the opportunity to walk and socialize before the beginning of the school day, or "Jump Up Day" - an anxiety-relieving transition day where students meet their class and teacher for the upcoming school year - students are surrounded by a community that cares.

Professional Learning Communities are a way of life at Corinth. Teachers analyze student data and priority standards to drive instruction and enrichment opportunities to meet the needs of all learners. With weekly grade level meetings, collaboration is part of the faculty's muscle memory.

Corinth's Makerspace is home to many project-based learning experiences and is frequently visited by students from all grades. Teachers are committed to engaging all learners and understand that many students learn best when designing, building, and creating.

Once a Dragon, always a Dragon: Corinth Elementary is a supportive community where students ignite a curiosity and passion for learning that lasts a lifetime.
