Immaculate Heart of Mary School Collage

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School (IHM), located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a state accredited private K-8 school. IHM is a highly engaged community that supports all stakeholders academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Being named a 2005 National Blue Ribbon School was an honor and has driven the school to excel and investigate ways to strive for continued academic excellence.

A paramount initiative for Immaculate Heart of Mary over the past two years has been training the entire faculty to examine student data intentionally, in an effort to craft daily instruction to meet the needs of every student. Teachers and faculty meet bi-weekly in Professional Learning Communities to review various student data points and to discuss best practices for purposeful instruction.Teachers continually monitor student performance and collaborate with team members, resource and support personnel, as well as parents to promote student growth and academic success. The cohesiveness of our highly trained and dedicated faculty, along with the adoption of this new strategy, has earned Immaculate Heart of Mary the highest state standardized test scores in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.

Student success at Immaculate Heart of Mary is further supported by the integration of Catholic teachings, The Leader in Me program, athletics, and a variety of creative fine arts opportunities. Our vibrant community supports not only our educational achievements and goals, but also supports the development of the whole child, academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
