Madison is a neighborhood school serving 450 students in grades K-5. At Madison, tradition and innovation blend together to create a vibrant learning environment that is equal parts energetic, supportive, and engaging. Madison staff partner with parents, community, and the PTO to ensure each student is successful and encouraged to learn and grow in an environment that is both engaging and supportive.
One of the hallmarks of our school are teachers who continually collaborate to improve and adjust instruction and who seek out opportunities for new learning, innovative ideas, and creative practices. Creative thinking, integration of writing and critical thinking, and a continuous desire for improvement is paramount to Madison's success. Students are active participants in the classroom and have a wide array of opportunities to explore their passions in the Madison weCreate Lab (Coding, Robotics, Engineering, Art, Technology, and Exploration). Additionally, students recognize the importance of being "kind, safe, and respectful" and are encouraged to look for opportunities to expand their learning beyond the classroom walls. Students participate in numerous extracurricular and leadership activities such as Safety Patrol, Reading Ambassadors, Kids Care Club, and the new Madison TEAM (Technology Expert at Madison), and are encouraged to look for ways to support and improve our school community and the community as a whole. A visitor to Madison will see teams of teachers collaborating, trying new ideas; parents planning PTO events and enrichment for students, and students actively engaged in their learning. This collaborative, vibrant environment makes Madison a dynamic place to learn and grow.
