Old St. Mary's School - Chicago, IL

OSM Chicago: Lead, Grow, Serve

OSM Chicago: Lead, Grow, Serve

In 2004 Old St. Mary's School (OSM) opened its doors to a preschool class of 18 children.Today we are proud to serve over 500 students in preschool through eighth grade. Located in the vibrant South Loop, Old St. Mary's offers a rigorous academic and faith-based education in a neighborhood school setting.

Sir Issac Newton said, "If I have seen further, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants." While we take pride in our successes at OSM, we are humbly aware that they rest on a tremendous foundation of support. 2019 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Father Hecker, the founder of the Paulist Order. His teachings call us to treat all people with dignity, justice, and respect. OSM embodies this mission by welcoming and embracing diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ideas.

Our curriculum is inquiry-based and rigorous in the core subjects, with enrichment in technology, music, art, religion, Spanish, and Latin. Located adjacent to Museum Campus and the Chicago Loop, experiential learning is seamless. OSM is led by teachers. School improvement is steered by a network of strong teacher leaders. We nurture the professional, intellectual, and spiritual growth of our staff by surrounding them with strong peer mentors and unwavering administrative and pastoral support.

We are blessed with a strong network of parents, who built our new school through generous financial support. Side by side, we are proud to work together to prepare our young men and women to Lead, Grow, and Serve!
