Vicenza HS Pep Rally: Standing for the Star Spangled Banner

Vicenza High School (VHS) is a Department of Defense Dependents School located on the United States Army Garrison in Vicenza, northeastern Italy. The students of VHS are the dependents of servicemen and women and military connected civilians working and living overseas. Given the transiency of the student population of VHS, due to military rotation and frequent deployment, we all strive to make school a stable and consistent environment in our students' lives. We recognize that the school is the heart of the lives of our students. We build relationships that enable us to partner with military units and the command of the installation and rely on the diversity and talent of the faculty to build a community of learners who achieve at their highest level. Classroom experiences across the curriculum integrate a culture of high expectations that is evident in our Vision Statement: "Excellence in Education for Every Student, Every Day, Everywhere." Our strengths in implementing best teaching practices are facilitated by collaborative teacher teams collecting and analyzing data to adjust and direct instruction to affect student achievement.

VHS is a community of compassionate, experienced professionals dedicated to the needs of all our students. At VHS we accept students as individuals with differing needs - academic, social, and emotional and strive to provide them with the necessary tools to work toward their highest achievement. Our learning environment provides differentiated, rigorous, standards-based instruction to ensure that all our students are college and career ready when they leave VHS.
