Students prepare backgrounds for their Stop Animation project during Innovations.

First In Excellence, First In Pride, the motto of Stevenson Ranch School, resounds in all we do as a community to support all students learning to their highest caliber.
Our dynamic staff works collaboratively to design rigorous learning opportunities for students. Performance data is utilized to provide students with pre-teaching and re-teaching in small groups and on an individual basis as needed. The ending result of this dedication is reflected in the consistent high success rate of our students.
Having a significant portion of our student population meeting and exceeding grade level is something we are proud of, but we still wanted something more. We wondered how we could further inspire students regardless of their academic performance. This question was presented to our staff, parents, and leadership. The result is our Innovations Program.

The Stevenson Ranch Innovations Program provides each grade level with an eight-week workshop, built into the school day schedule, focused on an extension topic that stretches student learning beyond the classroom. Taught by two credentialed teachers, the program provides all students, regardless of classroom performance, the opportunity to explore and expand their understandings. The program activities are grade level specific, such as; Newspaper reporting, stop motion animation, engineering, news casting, and more. Now in its fourth year, Innovations is a program that is special to Stevenson Ranch School, and we are proud to partner with our community to offer this unique opportunity to support our students to excel.
