Acacia students beaming with Panda Pride!

Acacia Elementary School is most notably marked by the large Ficus tree out front, standing tall and prominent for all as they enter. With strong expanding roots and the abundant canopy of leaves serve as welcoming arms to all. Acacia strives to bring the resources of home, community, and school to provide our Pandas with high-quality instruction, extra-curricular activities to develop their passions, and a growing repertoire of mindfulness activities to meet their social-emotional needs.

Our beliefs are grounded in building strong and genuine teacher-student relationships as a key to holistic growth and academic achievement for our students. Acacia staff implement regular classroom meetings, model a growth mindset, and implement restorative practices to build agency and advocacy in our students. We recognize one-size does not fit all, so Acacia teachers respond to the individual needs of each student. We use a Balanced Literacy approach which allows teachers to meet individually with students growing their identity as readers and writers of the future. Teachers build engagement with a variety of STEM-related instructional practices to provide students with different ways of problem-solving.

One cornerstone to the success of our students is our family and community engagement. Acacia is proud to offer over thirty community-building events each year. Parents participate in a plethora of school activities and serve on committees to ensure school functions are successful. This positive and inclusive climate at Acacia promotes a powerful sense of belonging for parents, students, and staff.
