Learning is fun at HCES!

Hampton Cove Elementary School, home of the Hawks, is a PreK-5 school serving approximately 650 students located in a quaint suburb of Huntsville, Alabama. Our school is truly the central hub of the community, with most students living within a few miles of school. HCES celebrates students every day and our school culture has a positive atmosphere where students want to come to school to learn. We begin each and every day with a school wide morning meeting where we recite our school "Hawk Pledge" which promotes our positive school climate and culture of honor, character, excellence, and success for all.

Our teaching staff is highly qualified and has a growth mindset that challenges our students to ask questions and seek to become patient, persistent, problem solvers. We believe in personalized education with a strong focus on STEM education. Every student has individualized learning goals and mistakes are viewed as a learning opportunity. Due to their high level of training, our faculty and staff effectively implement best practices, quality teaching, and classroom management procedures. Strong relationships, classroom communities, and effective PLC's lends to our success with high academic achievement. Our supportive PTA and community stakeholders who sponsor our school and support our efforts in the community, assists our students in reaching their full potential. By working as a collaborative team, HCES has a strong focus on honor, character, excellence, and success, which is visible throughout our building, and drives our instructional practices to ensure success for all students.
