O'Malley Elementary is a neighborhood school serving Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. We have a long-standing reputation of quality education and a close-knit family feel. We specialize in building community within our school and creating a supportive environment fostering growth in all areas. Our staff infuses Social and Emotional Learning throughout all content areas, so students feel safe and are able to learn and grow to their potential.
Many of our staff members arrive at O'Malley and stay until retirement. This creates long-term relationships families trust. Numerous students are children and grandchildren of former students. Families stay in the neighborhood, some even living and/or returning to their childhood homes, which is quite a legacy.
We enrich our students lives by teaching Common Core State Standards along with social studies, science, health, music, art, and physical education. Teachers are intentional and passionate about learning by creating high expectations for students and instilling a love of learning. Our communication with families is outstanding and crucial to building relationships and the important work of ensuring student success.
This year we launched a French Immersion Program, starting with Kindergarten, and building yearly until sixth grade. We are excited to add this cultural element to our O'Malley family.
In short, O'Malley Elementary is "Where Inspiration Happens!"
