Spreading Kindness during Kindness in Chalk Week

"Reflecting the Pride" is the slogan shared by the City of New London, and Parkview Elementary School is definitely proud of its accomplishments. Grounded in "Success For All Students," our district’s mission, New London School District hosts four elementary buildings. Parkview is nestled in the middle of the district with the largest elementary population of 333 students.

Parkview promotes teamwork and community partnerships, and trusts this collaborative effort to close the gaps in the achievement for our student population. We offer and are involved in many programs that involve the community, families, and business partners working together to help support the needs of our students and our city.

Consistent expectations help our students understand our goals and encourage active participation in our safe and caring school culture. As a result, students offer insight into continuous improvement in how best to support them as they learn and grow. Technology is another successful strategy; Parkview has a computer lab, classroom Chromebooks, engaging classroom activities and individualized learning and assessments to assist in personalized goal setting and achievement monitoring.

Parkview qualifies for Title I services at a school-wide level to offer reading support to all of our students and teachers. We also have a full-time bilingual education teacher with priority to connect our bilingual students to the core curriculum.

Our commitment to our students, teachers, and the community has far-reaching effects. We are very proud to be a part of the future of this community and look forward to continuing to “Reflect the Pride” for in providing "Success For ALL Students" for years to come.
