Blessed Sacrament School - Proud to Live Our Mission!
Blessed Sacrament School (BSS) in Alexandria, VA, is a fully-accredited Catholic school educating 300 preschool through 8th grade students. Our Christ-centered community maintains high academic standards for diverse and life-long learning. BSS offers robust, experience-based preschool classes. Our dynamic K-8 curriculum is enhanced through student enrichment programs such as the STEM Ambassador Program; an annual musical combining both fine and performing arts opportunities for Middle School students; and the global Kindergarten-to-college program "Odyssey of the Mind" which focuses on creative problem-solving skills.
Most importantly, everything we do at Blessed Sacrament School stems from supporting our mission. The students learn our school mission by "living acts of giving." In our quest to create an educated community, our standardized test score averages place us in the top 10% in the nation. In the image of Christ, we seek opportunities to serve others in need. Monthly Student Council Dress Down days raise over $5,000 annually for organizations around the globe. Our Buddy Systems pairs K-2 students with Middle School students to create faith-filled bonds and nurture student leadership through service to our school and parish community. Our Middle School House System's Mercy Works Committee is devoted to charitable actions to meet basic human needs of others. We champion a culture of integrity and respect, and we are most proud of our Blessed Sacrament School culture of creating a community of caring for those in need.
