The Welcoming Main Entrance at Belknap Elementary School

Belknap Elementary is a data driven school that focuses on the individual child and develops curriculum and instruction based on the strengths and needs of each student. Supportive administrators and competent, dedicated teachers work as a strong, united team to insure the growth and proficiency of every student by disaggregating data and teaching with a targeted curriculum designed to effectively teach the Utah CORE standards at every level. The school utilizes The Three Tier Model of Instruction to make sure every student is receiving the appropriate level and depth of instruction. In addition, all students are continually progress monitored to insure growth.

Belknap works diligently to engage parents and the community in the students' learning process in a safe learning environment. In an effort to teach the whole child, the school brings in volunteers to help with the academics and offer additional learning activities in science, the arts, and history.

In order to provide equitable resources in all homes, all students in kindergarten through 3rd grades take home a book on their reading level each night. This reading is monitored and recorded by parents and the school. Every student in 3rd through 6th grades have their own Chromebook to use at school and home during the school year to assist in learning math, ELA, and science concepts.

Belknap Elementary is a Title 1 school and has consistently ranked in the top portion of the state for growth and proficiency. The school moto is "Getting Better Every Day".
