Liberation Academy is known for its academic success in Student Achievement, Student Progress, Closing Performance Gaps and Post-Secondary Readiness with distinction in Reading/ELA, Mathematics, Post-Secondary Readiness, and Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps. Some key strategies that have proven to help meet the needs of all students at Liberation include the blended learning environment, which consists of a station rotation model and flex model that are web-based learning opportunities with customized and adaptive learning paths, data driven small group instruction, authentic student work, and supplemental resources for additional practice and/or reinforcement. Another effective strategy that has impacted student achievement at Liberation is the use of individualized learning profiles for teachers and students to better understand how one prefers to think and one's preferences for learning. Flexible grouping allows Liberation teachers to best differentiate instruction for students for a specified skill or concept to meet the needs of Liberation Scholars.

Though academics is the primary focus of Liberation Academy, the teachers and staff realize that building a meaningful relationship with students and their families is an essential investment to achieve academic success. During the school's Morning Engagement, character education lessons are embedded to help scholars develop strong character traits; to celebrate students' accomplishments, to build comrade and teamwork in Arrow Land. Morning Engagement is the way that Liberation Academy ensures that every scholar's day begins in a positive manner with brain gym, student created educational chants, and dancing for a high energy, motivating environment of learning.
