Valley View South Elementary Preparing the Finest Leaders of Tomorrow

Valley View South Elementary Preparing the Finest Leaders of Tomorrow

Located approximately one mile from the U.S-Mexico border and established in 2006, Valley View South Elementary (VVS) enrolls students in a full day PK3 Program up to 4th grade. It is a foundation for academic excellence where students and dedicated staff work together to achieve common goals. With high-quality educational programs and a well-balanced curriculum that include modern technology, all stakeholders are committed to the academic progress and overall success of all students.

VVS staff embraces the challenges that come each school year with the diverse student population comprised of new to district students coming from returning students, open enrollment students, and those who are recent immigrants. Teachers ensure that students receive appropriate and rigorous instruction, required services and interventions to be academically, socially, and emotionally successful. The students meet and surpass personal goals, district goals, and state standards by earning a high ranking status on their state-mandated assessments.

The school is a keystone in our community with strong parental and community involvement. The community, living in one of the most impoverished counties in the state, Hidalgo County, and with a majority identified as economically disadvantaged embraces diversity, school challenges, and supports all campus activities and events. A relationship of trust is fully established between district and campus staff, parents, and community which contributes to the overall success of every child enrolled at VVS.
