Annual Staff/Student Kickball Game

Annual Staff/Student Kickball Game

Tigerville Elementary strives to provide a quality educational experience that is tailored to meet the individual needs of each of our students. Our vision was built on the premise that all decisions will be data-based and with a child-first philosophy in the forefront. One of Tigerville's biggest paradigm shifts has been the emphasis on building capacity in our students, teachers, and community members through relationships. Our principal has set high expectations for our teachers that all children need to be taught with their individual needs in mind in order to increase student achievement. Our principal has instilled a sense of urgency and buy-in by establishing Tigerville as the hub of our community and a safe place for everyone. Buy-in has been attained through making changes gradual, encouraging input from all, and emphasizing that our children's needs and data drive everything.

Another shift at Tigerville is our emphasis on career and college readiness. Our focus is for our students to leave Tigerville with educational choices for their futures. This focus is communicated through a variety of instructional practices in all grade level curriculum. Lessons frequently incorporate practical application to future employment and educational opportunities. Data analysis takes place not only with the faculty, but with our students. Teachers and students conference regularly to discuss student achievement and needs. Our students set goals and can articulate to you their areas of strength and weakness. Tigerville is truly a unique community. We are a family that pulls together as one to make sure our students always remain at the top.
