Lexington Central Elementary
In a small rural village, located half way between Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, nestled among farmland you will find Central Elementary. It is a unique and special place, where a caring and hard-working school community is dedicated to the success of each student who walks through its doors. Lexington Local Schools has a long standing reputation of excellence that has spanned decades. It is dedicated to creating a balanced structure of traditions while staying current of educational trends. Many citizens purposefully purchase homes in our school district to ensure a superior educational experience for their children.
The staff, parents, and community of Central Elementary are dedicated to creating and maintaining an environment where all students feel that they are a valued part of our school. We pride ourselves on one comment we often hear, "Central has such a friendly, positive atmosphere." This ethos permeates all areas of our school. Central is honored to have the involvement and support of local families, community members, and a dedicated staff who assist during and outside school hours to improve social skills, to enhance academic abilities and different learning styles. This ensures that our students will be prepared to be leaders in today's and tomorrow's society and lifelong learners.
The Central staff is committed to the goal that every student will achieve academic success and will work closely with parents and family members to realize these goals. Our team understands that complacency is not an option as we continue and maintain our growth mindset and commitment to each student. Our staff collaborates to improve instructional practices, to provide daily intervention, to support small groups, to set challenging goals and to provide 21st Century skills.
Each staff member is highly valued and we work together collectively as a team. Individually we have strengths, however, as a team we are far more effective, thoughtful, and strong. This philosophy has created a culture that everyone takes ownership and a responsibility for the learning and environment at Central.
