Class of 2018 College Commitment Day

Elwood-John H. Glenn High School (JGHS) is located in the Hamlet of Elwood in the Township of Huntington, Suffolk County, New York. JGHS currently serves approximately 722 students and boasts a 96% graduation rate.

The JGHS mission statement reflects the community's unrelenting commitment to its students. To accomplish its mission, JGHS offers a variety of courses, extracurricular and athletic opportunities to support students' interests. To enrich our students' learning opportunities, JGHS has embraced a 1:1 Chromebook initiative. Our "Open Enrollment" policy enables students wishing to challenge themselves to enroll in honors or Advanced Placement level courses. Additionally, we have partnered with local colleges and universities to develop dual enrollment courses, thus providing students with additional avenues to graduate high school with college credits. JGHS is proud to have been named an AP District Honor Roll school and a Scholar Athlete School of Distinction.

JGHS students continue to be a source of pride for the community. We are proud of all that they have accomplished and look forward to their future successes.
