Old Farmers Road School (OFRS) is a great place to learn! The key to our success is threefold: talented teachers and staff, supportive families, and our most treasured asset, our hardworking students!
OFRS teachers are amongst the best of the best. Their dedication to our profession shines through in all they do. Teachers participate in collaborative student-centered professional learning communities. Achievement is realized across our school in a creative manner, which has led to consistently impressive outcomes. In addition to our exceptional teachers, we are a school family which includes many other experts. Our school would not be what it is without the contributions of our child study team, counselor, nurse, aides, secretaries, custodians, maintenance, cafeteria personnel, bus drivers, technology, central office support, and finally our principal, all of whom devote their talents to our extraordinary school. Undoubtedly, our support staff plays and integral role in a smooth running operation.
OFRS has a Parent Teacher Association that is second to none. Traditional annual PTA events, as well as supplemental enrichment activities, round out their generous technology and mini-grant contributions. Our supportive and encouraging parent connection is greatly valued. Notably, OFRS is one of four truly outstanding district schools located in picturesque Washington Township, Long Valley, New Jersey. Each of our district's schools build off of one another, sharing effective practices amongst each other. From its very beginning in 1965, our special school with heart has held a tradition of excellence in our community.
