Student Life at OLMA, Park Ridge, NJ

Our Lady of Mercy Academy is a Catholic community of learning where children come first. Located in Park Ridge, New Jersey, the Academy serves a diverse population of students from preschool through grade eight. It strives to meet the needs of its students: spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially. Our Lady of Mercy Academy affirms Christian values and fosters a love of learning.

As a Middle States accredited school and a 2011 recipient of the National Blue Ribbon, the Academy endeavors to lead students to an understanding of their own abilities and potentials. It has created programs that challenge, inspire, and develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Meeting the needs of the 21st Century student demands that technology be an integral part of instruction at every grade level. The Academy's delivery of curriculum is enhanced through the use of i-Pads, SmartBoards, collaborative STEM/STEAM projects, and 1:1 Chromebooks in the middle school division. The Student Research Center, the Collaboratory, and the Science Lab are arenas for student observation, investigation, and experimentation. The faculty at Our Lady of Mercy Academy understands their responsibility to prepare students for the challenges of an ever-changing global community.

As a Roman Catholic institution, the Academy recognizes its obligation to help students form a moral conscience and work for social justice. Participation in monthly service projects encourages the school community to put their faith into action.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy continues to provide a comprehensive, educational program that enables its graduates to excel in high school and beyond.
