Students wear read for Women

Students wear read for Women's Heart Health Month.

Transfiguration Academy is a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey located in northeast Bergen County in the Borough of Bergenfield. The academy can trace its history back to 1921 when St. John the Evangelist School was founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Transfiguration Academy flourishes in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation and is guided by its mission to "strengthen faith, enlighten minds, and transform hearts, one student at a time."

Learning goes beyond the curriculum that is taught each day. This year the academy has begun a bi-monthly enrichment program to allow students to apply and extend their knowledge. Transfiguration Academy provides many opportunities for students to express themselves through the arts including Drama Club, an annual school musical, winter and spring concerts, band, choir, and a spring art show. A well-established sports program teaches students the importance of physical activity, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. Transfiguration Academy is also committed to transforming the hearts of its students to enable them to put their education and faith into action. All students are involved in service.

Transfiguration Academy is a community of disciples and a community of learners, working together for the good of each other and for the good of society. It celebrates the uniqueness of the individual and strives to build on individual talents and meet individual needs. It is a community that is dedicated to helping each child excel, one student at a time.
