Saint Dominic School's mission is to enliven the Catholic faith, foster respect and responsibility, and facilitate academic excellence in every student in order to send forth future leaders to our Church and society. More than a statement of mission, this is the driving force behind strategic planning and day-to-day instruction. It is the foundation of a progressive atmosphere of learning, the catalyst for implementation of exciting new instructional strategies and resources, and the impetus to continually improve the manner in which students are taught so that they can realize their potential.
The key to achieving this cutting-edge learning environment is a commitment to lifelong learning through professional development. Administrators and 94% of the Saint Dominic School faculty attend regional and national conferences held across the country to investigate the most current instructional methods and emerging educational technologies. Integration of new learning continually improves the delivery of a rigorous curriculum to students.
In every curricular area, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning with a focus on communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities offer additional enriching experiences. Students have opportunities to compete academically, take part in liturgies, perform in plays, participate in sports and clubs, tend a hydroponic garden, play chess, write computer code, manage virtual investments, broadcast morning news, and serve those in need.
Saint Dominic School strives to fulfill its mission by creating a progressive, dynamic environment where lifelong learning is truly valued.
